Information Notice Regarding the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK)
This Clarification Text on the Protection and Processing of Personal Data has been prepared by Gaziantep Emiroğlu Baklavaları San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. (“Emiroğlu”) in order to fulfill our obligation to inform, as regulated in Article 10 of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, regarding the use of personal data obtained during the use of our website https://emiroglubaklava.com.tr (“Our Website”) and/or collected from persons who are members (“Our Members”) or visitors (“Our Visitors”) of the aforementioned website.
This text has been prepared to transparently inform our Members/Visitors about how the personal data collected by Emiroğlu or entered by themselves on Our Website are collected, the purposes for which they are processed, their legal grounds, and their rights.
Data Controller
Pursuant to the Law on the Protection of Personal Data, your personal data will be collected and processed by Gaziantep Emiroğlu Baklavaları San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. as the data controller within the scope described below.
Collected Personal Data
Various static (fixed) and dynamic (variable) data are collected from our Members/Visitors by the methods specified below. The collected data may vary depending on the services and features used by our Members/Visitors.
Within this title, the data processed through the services we offer via Our Website, which are considered personal data under the Law on the Protection of Personal Data, are listed below in groups.
– Information Shared During Registration/Membership/Use: Information you provide to use or register on Our Website (for example: to create an account, submit a comment, subscribe to a newsletter, or participate in a contest or sweepstake). Registration Information may include but is not limited to; name, surname, email address, gender, postal code, date of birth, mobile and home phone numbers, marital status, address, education level, profession, etc.
– Information Collected via Mobile Application: Information you share with us while using our mobile app; such as location data, media files, profiles, contacts, storage, wireless and Bluetooth connection details.
– Information Collected via Surveys: Responses you provide to surveys available on Our Website.
– Public Information and Posts: Information about you that may accompany comments and content you submit, including your name, username, comments, likes, status, profile information, and photos. Posts are always public, meaning that anyone can access them and they may appear in external search engine results.
– Information Collected from Social Media: If you access or log in to Our Website via a social media service, or link a service on Our Website to a social media account, the information we collect may include your user ID and/or username, profile picture, email address, or friend list, as well as any information and content you have made public via that social media service. When accessing our services through social media or linking our services to such accounts, you authorize Emiroğlu to collect, store, and use such information and content in accordance with this Clarification Text.
– Activity Information: When you access Our Website and use our services, we may collect certain information regarding these visits. For example, to enable your connection to Our Website, we may collect and record information about your computer, device, and browser, including IP address, browser type, and other software or hardware information.

Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Your personal data will be processed for the purposes set out in this Clarification Text in accordance with the principles and processing conditions regulated under the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, as well as the purposes detailed below:
To carry out our publishing activities, provide support services to our Members/Visitors, identify preferences and needs to shape and update the services offered, perform necessary work by relevant business units to conduct the company’s operations, fulfill legal obligations required by laws, evaluate membership requests and establish membership relationships, send newsletters and notifications via email, conduct market research and statistical studies, implement internal company instructions and procedures, organize events and activities, measure reader/listener/viewer satisfaction, plan and execute advertising, promotion and marketing activities, perform ad sales, plan and execute risk management and quality improvement activities, measure service quality, optimization, auditing, statistical analysis, risk management, member verification processes, enable functions of Our Website related to location-based features, profiling, and marketing by third parties with whom we cooperate — all in accordance with the data processing conditions and purposes stated in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK.
Transfer of Processed Personal Data and Purpose of Transfer
Data belonging to our Members/Visitors may be shared with our business partners for the purpose of performing planned activities within the scope of partnerships, with our suppliers for the purpose of fulfilling the services obtained from them, with our Group Companies for carrying out activities planned within the scope of existing relations, and with legally authorized public institutions and organizations or private legal persons as required or mandated by legal regulations.
Method and Legal Grounds for Collecting Personal Data
Personal data belonging to our Members/Visitors are collected through the following methods:
Data Directly Provided to Emiroğlu: Personal data voluntarily provided by our Members/Visitors before or during the use of Our Website. This includes all personal data directly given to Emiroğlu as a result of the positive actions of our Members/Visitors.
This covers information shared when registering on Our Website or subscribing to newsletters, responses to surveys, applications made via contact/complaint forms, and emails sent to Emiroğlu. For example, name-surname, contact details, ID information, survey responses, demographic data, and content information fall under this category.
Data Obtained During Platform Use: Refers to the personal data regarding the usage habits of our Members/Users obtained by Emiroğlu through certain software or technological tools during the service. For example, location data, favorites, interests, and usage data are included in this category.
Emiroğlu may associate the behavior of Visitors on the website with a browser cookie, even if they are not members, for online behavioral advertising and marketing purposes, and define remarketing lists based on metrics such as the number of pages viewed, visit duration, and goal completions. The personal data collected through these methods can be processed and transferred for the purposes specified in this Clarification Text within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes stated in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law No. 6698.
Legal Basis for Processing Your Personal Data: Your personal data may be processed and transferred where processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or protection of a right; where it is impossible to obtain your consent; where processing is necessary for the performance of a contract; where it is required to fulfill our legal obligations; where the data have been made public by you; where processing is mandatory for our legitimate interests; and where it is clearly provided for by law. In cases where none of these conditions apply, your explicit consent will be obtained.
Your Rights Under Article 11 of Law No. 6698
As a personal data owner, you have the right to:
Learn whether your personal data are being processed,
Request information if your personal data have been processed,
Learn the purpose of processing and whether they are used in accordance with their purpose,
Know the third parties to whom your data are transferred, domestically or abroad,
Request correction if your personal data are incomplete or incorrectly processed,
Request deletion or destruction of your personal data when the reasons requiring processing no longer exist,
Request notification to third parties to whom data have been transferred of correction, deletion, or destruction,
Object to any result that is to your detriment arising from the exclusive analysis of your data by automated systems,
Request compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing of your data.
Exercising Rights Related to Personal Data:
Our Members/Visitors may submit their requests regarding the rights stated above by sending a signed hard copy of the petition via registered mail to the address of Gaziantep Emiroğlu Baklavaları San. Tic. Ltd. Şti., or by delivering it in person with ID verification, or by sending the signed petition via registered electronic mail (KEP), secure electronic signature, mobile signature, or the email address previously notified and registered in Emiroğlu’s system, to [email protected]. The envelope of the application or the subject line of the electronic message should read “Request for Information Regarding Personal Data”.
For applications made by our Members/Visitors to exercise their rights, the request must be clear and understandable, related to the applicant personally, or duly authorized if acting on behalf of another, with proof of such authority. Documents verifying identity (e.g., copy of Turkish ID card) must be attached to the application. Requests must be made individually; requests made by unauthorized third parties will not be considered.
According to the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller, the application must include the following information:
Name, surname, signature, Turkish ID number (for citizens of Turkey), nationality, passport number or foreign ID number (for foreigners), residential or workplace address for notification, email address for notification (if any), phone and fax number, and subject of the request.
Otherwise, the application will not be considered valid. In addition, information and documents related to the matter must be attached to the application.
Emiroğlu reserves the right to verify your identity before responding.
If you submit your request regarding your rights to Emiroğlu as described above, your request will be concluded within no later than thirty days from the date it is received by Emiroğlu.
